Who can volunteer with Eagle Mount?

From retirees to college students, Eagle Mount has a very diverse volunteer base. We accept applications from any individual aged 16 or older who is passionate about creating opportunities for people of all abilities to live life without limits.

For our younger community members, we also have a peer buddy program. This program is geared towards individuals aged 12-15 who are interested in cultivating lifelong friendships with their peers and classmates who have disabilities.

What is volunteering at Eagle Mount like?

Volunteering with Eagle Mount is an incredibly rewarding experience. Volunteers are paired individually with an Eagle Mount participant to ensure that the participant is having the best and most supported experience possible. Volunteers are responsible for encouraging participants to step outside of their comfort zones, ensuring their safety throughout the activity, and coaching them in new skills. This allows volunteers to form strong relationships with participants and be a first-hand witness to their growth and personal development.

What are the benefits of volunteering with Eagle Mount?

Eagle Mount has a strong volunteer community. We have many volunteers who have been with the organization for 20 years or more, creating an amazing opportunity for new volunteers to learn from the special education teachers, recreational therapists, and parents and siblings of people with disabilities who make up our core volunteer base. And you might just make some pretty great friends along the way!

Not only does volunteering with Eagle Mount offer a strong sense of community, our programs are fun for volunteers and participants alike! It’s hard not to have fun exploring Billings with our energetic day campers or flying down the mountain during a ski lesson. The experiences our volunteers have while serving with Eagle Mount bring them back year after year.

Benefits beyond the intangible!

In addition to the intangible benefits of volunteering, our volunteers also get access to the very tangible benefit of significant discounts on outdoor recreational gear from Outdoor Prolink. There are over 130 outdoor gear brands to choose from on Outdoor Prolink and you have access to them all!
