We're excited to offer you a chance to own this original Carolyn Martin Kennedy acrylic. Proceeds from the drawing benefit Eagle Mount Billings' adaptive recreation programs for those with disabilities. Special thanks to Electric Storm Gallery.
This contemporary interpretation of the Western landscape, "The Trail", was inspired by Carolyn's love of her native Livingston, MT, and her years spent in Bozeman. Kennedy is an award-winning artist who uses acrylics and mixed media to paint expressions of the external environment and her internal life. View Carolyn's website here and learn more about her work on this Electric Storm Instagram post.
The painting is on display at the Billings Public Library until November 28. After that, it may be viewed at the Electric Storm Gallery.
"The Trail" is an acrylic on canvas, valued at $2,200. Dimensions for the framed piece are 32.5"x24".
Electric Storm Gallery is a contemporary Billings art gallery that features the work of over 20 artists from Montana and across the country. Owner and curator, Taylor Evans, opened the gallery in February 2023 and is proud of the collection she displays, including works from local familiar favorites like Carolyn Martin Kennedy, Jon Lodge, Jane Waggoner Deschner, and Corby Skinner - as well as nationwide artists. "We need the presence of art, especially in public places, and especially in Billings,” says Evans who is herself an artist.
